Privacy Policy

Note: PlantCare is a fully local app. It does not require an account, does not perform cloud syncing, and does not collect your personal identity information. All your data is stored locally on your device. This document is provided in multiple languages; if there is any inconsistency, the English version shall prevail.

1. Overview

PlantCare (the "App") is a plant care assistant application. The App does not require account registration, does not perform cloud syncing, and does not collect your personal identity information. Your plant profiles, care records, reminder schedules, and settings are all stored locally on your device.

2. Information Storage

2.1 Local Data

All content you create in the App — including plant information, photos, care records (watering, fertilizing, etc.), reminder schedules, and personalized settings — is stored locally on your device. This data is never uploaded to any server.

You can delete all local data by uninstalling the App or clearing the App data in your system settings.
Once the App is uninstalled, local data cannot be recovered.

2.2 Photos

When you use the camera or photo library to add photos of your plants, the images are stored only on your device. We do not access or upload any photos beyond those you explicitly select.

3. Permissions

Notifications: Used to send plant care reminders (watering, fertilizing, repotting, etc.). Only requested when you actively enable reminder features; no notifications are sent without permission.
Camera: Used to take photos of plants. Only requested when you actively use the camera feature.
Photo Library: Used to select plant photos from your album. Only requested when you actively choose images.

All permissions are optional and can be revoked at any time in your device's system settings.

4. In-App Purchases & Subscriptions

4.1 Subscription Products

PlantCare Premium Monthly: Auto-renews monthly at the listed price, charged via the App Store / Google Play.
PlantCare Premium Yearly: Auto-renews yearly at the listed price, charged via the App Store / Google Play.

4.2 Payment Processing

Subscription purchases are handled entirely by the Apple App Store or Google Play. We do not collect or store your payment card information or any payment details. Subscription validation, renewal, and refunds are managed by the respective app store.

Your subscription entitlement status is stored locally on your device, linked to your Apple ID / Google account purchase history, and can be restored on other devices under the same account via the "Restore Purchases" feature.

4.3 Cancellation & Refunds

You can cancel auto-renewal at any time through the subscription settings in the App Store or Google Play. After cancellation, you will continue to enjoy the subscription service until the end of the current billing cycle. Refunds are subject to the App Store / Google Play refund policies; we do not process refunds directly.

4.4 Free Trial

If a free trial is offered, it will automatically convert to a paid subscription at the end of the trial (unless canceled before the expiration date).

5. Information We Do Not Collect

For the avoidance of doubt, the App explicitly does not collect the following:

Your name, email, phone number, or other personal identity information
Your device identifiers or location information
Your usage behavior analytics
Your browsing history or network activity

The App does not integrate any advertising SDK, analytics tracking SDK, or third-party login services.

6. Children's Privacy

PlantCare is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction). Because the App does not collect personal information, no personal data is collected even if a child uses the App. If you believe there is any issue, please contact us.

7. Your Rights

Because all data is stored locally on your device, you have complete control over your data:

Access: View all your plant and record data within the App at any time.
Deletion: Delete individual plants or records, or uninstall the App to clear all data.
Manage Subscriptions: Manage or cancel subscriptions via the App Store / Google Play.

8. Policy Changes

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Effective Date" at the top of this page. Since the App does not collect personal data, policy changes generally will not affect your privacy rights.
